Corrections Policy

We publish information that people use to make decisions about their homes. When we get something wrong, we fix it in public and say what changed.

Reporting an error

A dedicated corrections contact is being set up and will be published here as soon as it is live. Until then, please use the contact route listed in the site footer, and include the page, the specific statement, and a source we can check.

Companies we cover are welcome to submit corrections about their own data on the same terms as anyone else: with a source. We will not remove verified unfavorable information, and a correction request is not a route to changing a score.

What we treat as a correction

  • A factual statement that is wrong, including licensing, status, product, coverage or cost data
  • A figure attributed to a source that the source does not support
  • A stale value that a primary source now contradicts
  • A missing or incorrect disclosure or label
  • A misattributed quote, byline or source
Differences of editorial judgment — how we weight a component, or which companies we cover — are not corrections. Those are methodology questions, and the methodology is published in full.

How corrections are handled

Reported errors are checked against primary sources before anything changes. Because facts live in one canonical record per company, a corrected value updates every page that uses it rather than being patched page by page.

  • Material factual errors: corrected, and the correction noted on the affected page and logged below.
  • Minor errors such as typography or broken links: corrected without a log entry.
  • Disputed data: the field is marked disputed and reverts to “Not verified” until resolved.
  • Score-affecting corrections: the record is rescored under the current methodology version, which may change the published order.

Corrections log

No corrections have been published yet. When one is, it will appear here with the date, the page affected and what changed. Entries are appended and never quietly edited or removed.

Response times

We are not going to promise a response window we cannot yet guarantee. Reports are reviewed as they come in, and this section will state a specific commitment once we can actually hold to it.
