Readers deserve to know who pays for what they are reading. Our business model has not been finalized, so this page states what is true today and nothing more.
Our business model has not been finalized. When it is, this page will describe exactly how the site is funded, which relationships are compensated, and how each is labeled — reviewed and approved before publication. Until then we make no claim about how, or whether, this site earns revenue.
We are not going to describe a compensation arrangement before one exists. Publishing a plausible-sounding model would be exactly the kind of unsupported claim this site is built to avoid.
Rankings and scores are determined by our published editorial methodology and are not influenced by compensation.
This is enforced structurally. Commercial fields are stored apart from editorial data and are removed from each record before the scoring engine runs, and any methodology that tries to read a commercial field fails validation and cannot be used to produce a ranking.
If and when commercial relationships exist, each record carries a partner status and disclosure type, and those flags drive on-page labeling wherever that company appears — rankings, profiles and comparisons alike.
| Disclosure placeholder | Status | Working text |
|---|---|---|
| Editorial independence statement | Draft — awaiting review | Rankings and scores are determined by our published editorial methodology and are not influenced by compensation. |
| Advertiser disclosure | Draft — awaiting review | If this site enters commercial relationships with companies it covers, those relationships will be disclosed here and labeled wherever they appear. |
| Financial advice disclaimer | Draft — awaiting review | This site publishes general information only and is not financial, legal, or tax advice. A reverse mortgage uses your home as collateral and may not be suitable for everyone. |
